CFP Predictor

Two separate challenges cover the College Football Playoff: pick the field of 12 before Selection Sunday, then fill out the official bracket once the committee posts the seeds.

How the challenges work

The Selection Challenge asks who belongs in the 12-team field and where those teams should be seeded. You score 10 points for each team that actually makes the field. An exact seed is worth 12 points, and each seed you miss by costs 1 point (down to 0). Submitting earlier multiplies that total, up to 1.5× at the start of the window and 1.0× at the deadline. Saving again uses the bonus from that later time. For 2026, field predictions lock at noon Eastern on Sunday, December 6 — Selection Sunday.

The Bracket Challenge opens after that lock. You pick winners through the first round, quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship. Scoring follows the classic ESPN tournament scale: 10 points in the first round, 20 in the quarterfinals, 40 in the semifinals, and 80 for the champion. Neither challenge is a wagering product; they are seasonal prediction boards on this site.
