Overview

Premier CFB Rankings ("we", "our", "the site") provides college football ranking, poll, pick ’em, and CFP prediction tools. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how advertising works on the site.

Account and site data

If you create an account or sign in, we store information needed to run the service — for example email address, username, authentication credentials (handled by our auth provider), display name, favorite teams, friend connections and friend requests, profile visibility settings, polls or ballots you create, pick ’em entries and game picks, group memberships, and CFP Predictor submissions (Selection Challenge and Bracket Challenge). We use that data to operate ranking, compete, scoring, and social features. We do not sell your account data, picks, or predictions as a product or mailing list.

What is public vs private

This is a public fan site with leaderboards, not a private vault. Protections are limited to what the product actually enforces:

Public compete data. Username, display name, favorite teams, and CFP Predictor submissions are stored so scoring and leaderboards can work. Other visitors can see usernames and CFP predictions. Pick ’em picks stay hidden from other users until that game kicks off, and group pick ’em slates (which games count, custom team lists, and group boards) are visible only to members of that group — they are not on the public pick ’em site.

Profile-page toggles. Settings such as hiding poll history or activity stats change what appears on your profile page for other signed-in users. They do not hide CFP submissions or pick ’em picks after kickoff, and they do not hide your username.

Kept to you (and people you involve). Email address and sign-in credentials are not shown on public profiles. Friend requests, unpublished / draft polls, group membership lists, and group invite details are limited to you, the other party, or group members as the feature requires. Other people cannot change your picks or account through the normal app — only you can submit or update your own compete entries.

Operators. People who run this site (and our infrastructure providers, especially Supabase) can access stored account and compete data as needed to operate, debug, and secure the service. We do not send your pick lists to Google as an advertising feed. Google AdSense still uses cookies and browsing data on its own, as described below.

Outside access. The site is served over HTTPS by our host. Passwords are stored by the auth provider, not in plain text on this app. Database rules limit who can read or change rows. This is not antivirus software, a VPN, or a guarantee against every attack. We do not scan your device. Ads and other sites you visit have their own risks. Keep your password to yourself, sign out on shared computers, and treat unexpected emails or links with caution.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from Settings. That removes your profile and, with it, your polls, pick ’em picks, CFP predictions, friendships, group memberships, and groups you own, subject to residual copies in backups for a limited period. Deletion is not instant everywhere (caches, logs, and ads partners have their own retention). Signed-in sessions are ended when deletion succeeds.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, and preferences (such as favorite-team theme settings and in-progress poll or pick drafts stored in your browser). Advertising partners may also use cookies as described below.

Third-party services

We rely on third parties to operate the site. They process data for the services they provide:

Supabase — authentication, database, and related backend services for accounts and site data.

Resend — transactional email when you send friend invites (recipient email addresses you provide).

Sports data providers (for example ESPN and similar public sports-data APIs) — team, score, ranking, and logo assets used to power the product. These feeds are not used to identify you personally.

Google AdSense — advertising, as described in the next section.

Hosting and infrastructure providers may also process standard request data to deliver and secure the site.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to show advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

Where required by law (for example in the EEA/UK), we rely on Google Privacy & messaging / consent tools configured in AdSense so that personalized ads are shown only after appropriate consent. You can change or withdraw consent through the consent interface when it is presented.

Analytics and logs

Hosting and infrastructure providers may process standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) to operate and secure the site. We do not use those logs to build advertising profiles beyond what our advertising partners do under their own policies.

Your choices

You can update profile details available in the product, sign out, delete your account from Settings, or request account-related help through our Contact page. Profile visibility toggles only affect the profile page. Pick ’em picks are hidden from other users until that game’s kickoff. Group slates stay inside the group. CFP predictions stay public while the account exists. You can also use the ad opt-out links above where they apply. Browser settings let you clear cookies and local storage.

U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example California and certain other U.S. states), you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain advertising uses of data. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising partners such as Google may use cookies or similar technologies that some state laws treat as a "sale" or "share" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising — use the Ads Settings and aboutads.info links above, and any consent / privacy messaging shown on the site, to exercise those choices.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
